The Well Wishes of a Master

Chinese New Year greeting card CNY poem

Since many years ago, I have this favourite habit of writing Chinese New Year greeting cards to people, and using the Chinese characters of their individual names, I will write a prose to convey my best wishes for them. This year, before Chinese New Year, I wrote and sent a New Year card for my Root Guru, as well as my disciple.

Among my students and disciples, there are some who share a deeper and longer affinity with me and there are some who do not. Regardless of of its nature, I taught them wholeheartedly even though some of them may not reciprocate with the same level of focus. As with all parents alike, a master would always hope to see improvement in his students and disciples.

For my initiated disciples, I hold even greater hope and expectation that they will surpass me and, in the near future, follow my footsteps: to diligently propagate and promote the Dharma and Chinese metaphysics to benefit all sentient beings.
